Rule 13
Method of Selection of Candidates
: (1) Selection of candidates for filling the following vacancies in the Armed Police Service shall be done through the following examination:-
(a) For the post of Inspector of Armed Police (toward the general group),
(1) Preliminary physical examination,
(2) Physical tolerance,
(3) Detailed health examination,
(4) Psychological Personality (IQ) Test,
(5) Written Examination,
(6) Qualitative examination,
(7) Special health examinations and
(8) INTERVIEW.
(b) For the post of Sub-Inspector of Armed Police (towards General Group),
(1) Preliminary physical examination,
(2) Physical tolerance,
(3) Detailed health examination,
(4) Written Examination,
(5) Special health examinations and
(6) INTERVIEW.
(c) For the posts of Armed Police Senior Constables (Accounts Sub-group) and Armed Police Jawans (towards General Group)
(1) Preliminary physical examination,
(2) Written Examination,
(3) Detailed health examination,
(4) Physical tolerance
(5) Special health examinations and
(6) INTERVIEW.
(d) For posts towards technical group,
(1) Preliminary physical examination,
(2) Physical tolerance,
(3) Detailed health examination,
(4) Written Examination,
(5) Practical Examination (subject/professional basis),
(6) Special health examinations and
(7) Interview.
(e) For the post of Armed Police Attendant,
(1) Preliminary physical examination,
(2) Comprehensive health examination,
(3) Physical tolerance,
(4) Practical Examination (Trade wise),
(5) Special health examinations and
(6) Interview. (2) Candidates who fail in any one stage of examination conducted as per sub-rule (1) shall not be allowed to participate in the examination of other stages of selection.
